1940's Hollywood Glam, one of my all time favourite eras. We still saw the sad, overextended brow from the boyish 20's, but the lips became fuller, the cheeks rosier and the hair long and soft. It was seductive, with a slightly rebellious edge. After the liberation of the 1920's women had started to become powerful in other ways, no longer wanting to dress like men, but embracing their femininity in an entirely new way. Makeup always tells a story... X
